The Story

My wife & I inherited this car while living in Ridgewood, Queens circa 2016, and it changed our lives.

We could drive to Jacob Riis Beach in half the time of a subway ride. We could fill an entire shopping cart at Trader Joe’s We could leave the city on weekends and still get back before alternate side parking.

Our Escort even made an appearance in "Papyrus”.

What I Did

The Ford Escort series was very popular as a rally car in England & western Europe during its heyday, but the 90s styling of our 4th-gen model leans more towards suburban sedan.

By playing with the format of a classic “for-sale” ad, I was able to highlight the Escort’s best assets and reinforce how dope it is to have any working car when you live in the city.
